How to redeem a Mystery Gift code
Walk up to the PC outside any Pokémon Center and press A. Choose Get Items → Mystery Gifts. Pick Get with Code/Password to type a code, or Get via Internet for the no-code distributions. The reward lands in your inventory immediately.
Where do new codes come from?
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company release codes around events, seasonal updates, and promotions — usually announced on the official Pokémon social accounts. Codes are the source of the game's five special event habitats, so it's worth redeeming everything: check our Habitat Dex for what the event items unlock (E-001 to E-005).
Do codes expire?
Yes — every code has a redemption window, and some (like the release commemorative set) stop being distributed long before they stop being redeemable. Redeem codes as soon as you get them.
