Every Pokémon has a set of favorite categories, and every item in the game belongs to one or more of them. When you give a Pokémon an item that matches one of its favorites — or decorate its habitat and home with matching items — its friendship grows faster and its comfort level rises higher than with a random item.
Where do I see a Pokémon's favorites in game?
