How do I unlock cooking?
Cooking unlocks through the Rocky Ridges questline where you rescue Chef Dente (a very culinary Greedent) from a barrel. After that, cook at the kitchen using ingredients and Pokémon helpers.
What do meals actually do?
Eating a meal restores PP for the matching move and powers it up — bigger cuts, more water, faster rock smashing. Higher-tier dishes restore more PP (up to 650 for hamburger steaks).
What about drinks?
Drinks like Moomoo Milk Coffee, Roserade Tea, and Soda Pop are separate consumables, not cooked meals — they don't use the recipe system above. Flavored food also matters for gifting: see which Pokémon like sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, or dry flavors in our Favorite Items lookup.
