Correction, August 16, 2026 — these habitats are not restricted to the Bubbly Basin area. We previously tagged all 73 expansion spawns as requiring the Bubbly Basin area. That was our own inference from the way Game8 groups the habitats, not something any source states. Game8 says the habitats are "exclusive to the Bubbly Basin DLC", which is about owning the expansion, not about where you place them. Serebii is the only source that addresses placement, and it lists all seven areas — Palette Town included — for 72 of the 73 spawns. The single genuine exception is Floatzel's Marine shop, limited to Cloud Island and Bubbly Basin. Nintendo Life and Bulbapedia say nothing either way.

We checked that Serebii's placement field means what we think it means by testing it against base-game Pokémon whose restrictions we already had from a different source: Geodude (Palette Town), Pichu (Withered Wastelands) and Oddish (night only) all came back matching. That is a spot check, not proof — if you have built a Basin habitat outside the Basin and it did or did not work, please tell us.

Rarity, time and weather for expansion spawns come from Serebii's individual Pokédex pages; Game8's Elegant Concert page independently agrees on Primarina (Rare, all times, all weather). Habitat-to-Pokémon assignments matched Serebii on all 73 pairs, which is a useful check on our Game8-sourced tables. One naming split we did not resolve: this habitat is "Maritime teatime" on Game8 and Dexerto, "Marine teatime" on Serebii and Pokopia Wiki. We kept Maritime and note the alternative here.

Specialty assignments were extracted twice from independent pages — the per-Pokémon tables and the per-specialty listings — and the two passes agree on all 360 entries. Note this makes it a well-checked single source, not two sources; if you find a mismatch in game, please tell us. All specialty explanations on this site are written by us from the documented effects; none are copied. Magikarp is listed with no specialty, which matches the source.
